STOA Architects provided design services for a renovation to UWF’s Building 82 classrooms 262 and 264 with the project goal of providing a showcase computer lab. The approximately 1,400 square-foot renovation includes two lab areas; an Advanced Study Lab with 27 workstations and a General Study Lab with 16 workstations. An area of the lab was also designed for students’ use while not attending class. This lounge space features local computer access and casual seating areas.
Project elements include a projection wall, secure storage, podium with full data capabilities, sound system, digital display area, low profile raised flooring to accommodate wiring beneath floor, innovative screen wall for display, and architectural ceiling kites to minimize the significant height of the room.
Final design has been completed, and STOA Architects generated architectural renderings to use for fundraising purposes.
