Eason Hangar Repairs
Hurlburt Field, Florida

This project involved a phased renovation of the largest existing maintenance hangar facility for C-130 aircraft at Hurlburt Field. Phase 1 included the full replacement of the existing hangar bay doors. The bay doors consisted of two sets of hangar bay doors with 8 rolling doors per set. Each leaf is approximately 35 ft. wide by 64 ft. tall. Each leaf has a new motor drive, mechanism and operating assembly.

Phase 2 includes the interior renovation of approximately 27,000 square feet of shop facilities and support spaces. All areas will include upgraded HVAC, lighting, interior finishes and toilet rooms, as well as replacement of a freight elevator with a passenger elevator. As part of the scope, the design team incorporated communications and other current security requirements as required to provide an "Open Storage" office space on the 2nd floor south pylon. The selected renovations were configured to provide the shops and adjacent spaces with full capability to support C-130 aircraft maintenance.
