STOA Architects provided design services as a team member of jehle-halstead engineering for the new Brosnaham Sportsplex, a 110-acre regional park which features 10 multi-purpose fields and a 2,500 seat stadium, supported by a new ticket/concession facility, two locker rooms, bleachers, press box, a media and conference facility, a picnic area, a covered pavilion, a playground, and other amenities. The new Escambia County Parks and Recreation Complex will be host to several prominent Soccer championships and NCAA divisional matches. The state of the art fields have lighting and facilities that were designed to meet NCAA standards for play and telecasting. The Brosnaham Soccer Complex has developed into a world class athletic facility that can serve a venue for major sports events for years to come.
Brosnaham Sportsplex and Stadium has recently been selected as a winner in the 2007 National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials Award in the Class I category — Park and Recreation Facility.
