The Design/Build team of GSC and STOA awarded a Virtual TADDS General Instruction Building
STOA Architects was recently awarded a design-build contract with GSC Constuction for a $6,998,101 Virtual TADDS General Instruction Building located at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. The 27,840 square foot VTADDS facility will be the home of a new high-tech simulated weapons training facility. The design team is currently providing professional services utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the Virtual TADDS facility. The facility will provide administrative offices for military and civilian personnel who schedule training classes, the facility will also provide classroom XXI and weapon simulators for soldier weapon training. The simulator classrooms provide both hand held and vehicle mounted weapons to give the trainees a near real world training environment. The facility is being designed to meet a LEED silver rating.
